About
Meng Ju is a rising leader in the field of chiral luminescent nanomaterials, with a research focus on supramolecular chirality transfer and the development of intelligent, multi-responsive soft materials. Their most notable contribution is the design of tunable chiral luminescent nanogels, which achieve multiresponsive behavior through precise supramolecular chirality transfer. This work, published in 2025 and already garnering 7 citations, demonstrates remarkable potential for applications in artificial smart eyes, bionic skin, soft displays, and human–machine dialogue systems. By drawing inspiration from the bioluminescence of natural organisms, Ju has created flexible, color-tunable emitters that can sense and respond to environmental stimuli, bridging the gap between biological chirality and advanced material function. This innovative approach not only advances the fundamental understanding of chirality in soft matter but also provides a practical platform for next-generation perception organs in soft robotics and smart sensors. Ju’s work stands out for its creative integration of biological principles with materials engineering, positioning them as a key innovator in the development of intelligent, bioinspired optical materials.
