Longjian Xue is a materials scientist and engineer whose research sits at the intersection of bioinspired adhesives, soft robotics, and smart sensing technologies. Drawing inspiration from remarkable biological systems — including geckos, tree frogs, and other organisms — Xue has made significant contributions to the design and fabrication of structured adhesive surfaces capable of robust, switchable, and anisotropic adhesion across diverse environments.
