About
Liqun Zhou is a leading urological surgeon and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of minimally invasive surgery, robotic-assisted urology, and complex ureteral reconstruction. Based at a major Chinese academic medical center, Zhou has made transformative contributions to two principal domains: the development and clinical validation of China's homegrown KangDuo Surgical Robot system, and the refinement of advanced ureteroplasty techniques for challenging ureteral strictures. Zhou's pioneering evaluations of the KangDuo (KD-SR-01) robotic platform — spanning radical prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, and pyeloplasty — have provided critical evidence that domestic robotic systems can rival established platforms like the da Vinci Si, with his comparative trials attracting over 60 citations each.
