About
Laura van der Schaaf is a leading figure in atmospheric remote sensing, with her research centered on aerosol retrieval algorithms and the development of advanced polarimetric instrumentation for Earth observation. Her most significant contribution is her pioneering work with the Spectropolarimeter for Planetary Exploration (SPEXone) aboard NASA’s PACE mission, where she leads the first-ever aerosol retrievals from this cutting-edge sensor.
