K. C. Steenbrugge is an astrophysicist specializing in active galactic nuclei (AGN) and reverberation mapping—a technique that uses light echoes to probe the innermost regions of distant galaxies. Their major contributions center on measuring the size, shape, and structure of the broad-line region (BLR) and the surrounding dust torus in Seyfert galaxies.
