Johan Comparat is a leading astrophysicist whose work centers on large-scale structure, dark energy, and the evolution of galaxies across cosmic time. He has made pivotal contributions to two of the most ambitious spectroscopic surveys ever undertaken. As a key member of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) collaboration, Comparat helped design and implement the instrument that now maps tens of millions of galaxies and quasars.
