About
Jinsoo Yu is a leading figure in the development of advanced nanomaterials for next-generation energy harvesting and self-powered sensor systems. His research primarily focuses on the synthesis and application of boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) and the engineering of hybrid nanogenerators that combine piezoelectric and triboelectric effects. Yu’s most notable contribution is the creation of a mechanically robust BNNT-based contact electrification-assisted piezoelectric nanogenerator, which serves as a highly sensitive kinematic sensor for detecting the flexion–extension motion of a robot finger.
