Dr. Jianyu Lin is an atmospheric scientist whose research centers on aerosol classification, optical properties, and their climatic implications. His major contributions lie in developing robust frameworks to distinguish aerosol types—such as dust-dominated, pollution-dominated mixtures, and strongly absorbing aerosols—using data from the Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) and satellite observations.
