About

Jean Bourhis is a leading figure in radiation oncology, whose work bridges the gap between advanced physics and life-saving clinical care. His research is centered on stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and the revolutionary application of radiation for cardiac arrhythmias. Bourhis made a landmark contribution to the field with the first reported clinical use of a "rescue procedure for an electrical storm using robotic non-invasive cardiac radio-ablation" (2018, 102 citations), demonstrating that high-dose radiation could be a non-invasive, life-saving tool for patients with refractory ventricular tachycardia.
