About
Haoran Zheng is a rising leader in tactile sensing and soft robotics, whose work is redefining how robots perceive and interact with their environment. His primary research focuses on developing compact, high-performance tactile sensors and bio-inspired robotic systems that bridge the gap between human-like dexterity and machine capability. Zheng’s most notable contribution is the **DotView** sensor, a low-cost, compact device capable of estimating pressure, shear, and torsion—critical for dexterous manipulation.
