Gerald Fritz is a robotics and computer vision researcher whose work spans two decades of influential contributions at the intersection of visual perception, autonomous systems, and human-robot collaboration. He is perhaps best known for his foundational research on affordance-based robotic perception, drawing on James Gibson's ecological psychology to develop frameworks through which robots learn to anticipate opportunities for interaction with their environment.
