About
Fabrizio Vecchio’s research sits at the intersection of neuroprosthetics, neurorehabilitation, and non-invasive neuromodulation, with a focus on restoring motor function after amputation or central nervous system injury. His most impactful work, “Brain reactions to the use of sensorized hand prosthesis in amputees” (2020, 10 citations), pioneered a multimodal neurophysiological and neuroimaging approach to reveal chronic functional reorganization in sensorimotor brain areas following prolonged training with a bidirectional hand prosthesis.
