About
Denghui Zhu is pioneering the frontier of biohybrid micro-/nanorobotics for precision medicine. His research centers on designing biocompatible, self-propelling robots that leverage living organisms for targeted therapy and tissue recovery. Zhu’s most notable contribution is the development of a dual-biomineralized yeast micro-/nanorobot (Cur@CaY-robot), which uses a self-driving mechanism to penetrate gastric mucus and deliver therapeutics for gastritis treatment and motility restoration—a breakthrough that has garnered 42 citations since 2023.
