Delu Pan is a leading figure in satellite oceanography and atmospheric correction, whose work has fundamentally advanced how we observe Earth’s oceans and coastal zones from space. His research focuses on developing and validating algorithms that remove atmospheric interference from satellite imagery, enabling accurate retrieval of aerosol properties and water-leaving radiance.
