About
De Gong is a leading researcher in the field of small-scale robotics and bioinspired soft actuators, with a focus on integrating biological templates and advanced materials for functional micro- and nanodevices. His major contributions include pioneering the biotemplating of metal–organic framework (MOF) nanocrystals onto helical structures derived from cyanobacteria, enabling the fabrication of small-scale robots with enhanced functionality—a work that has garnered 50 citations since 2021.
