Dag Halvorsen is a leading urologic oncologist whose research focuses on testicular cancer, particularly seminoma, and the development of surgical strategies to reduce long-term treatment toxicity. His major contributions center on establishing primary retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) as a viable alternative to chemotherapy and radiotherapy for low-volume metastatic seminoma.
