About

D. B. Zucker is a leading figure in Galactic Archaeology, an emerging field that uses the fossil record of our Milky Way to unravel the formation and evolution of galaxies. As a key architect of the GALAH (Galactic Archaeology with HERMES) survey, Zucker’s primary contribution has been the development and deployment of the High Efficiency and Resolution Multi-Element Spectrograph (HERMES) at the Anglo-Australian Telescope (AAT).
