Charles Karan is a leading researcher in the field of radiation biodosimetry, specializing in the development of high-throughput, automated systems for rapid biological dose assessment following radiation exposure. His major contributions center on the creation and validation of the Rapid Automated Biodosimetry Tool II (RABiT-II), a groundbreaking robotic platform that fully automates the cytokinesis-block micronucleus (CBMN) and dicentric chromosome assays (DCA).
