About
Changqiao Xu is a leading researcher at the forefront of intelligent robotic networks and secure distributed learning. His work primarily focuses on the Internet of Robotic Things (IoRT), federated learning, and crowdsourcing, addressing critical challenges in coordination, privacy, and security. A major contribution is his development of a hierarchical game-theoretic framework for task-driven cooperative IoRT crowdsourcing, which optimizes resource allocation among resource-constrained robot nodes—a work that has rapidly accumulated 33 citations since 2024. Xu has also pioneered novel defenses against sophisticated attacks in federated learning environments, including a moving target defense approach to safeguard privacy and integrity in heterogeneous cross-silo IoRT settings (14 citations) and SecFFT, a method to protect large vision-language models from covert backdoor attacks during fine-tuning (7 citations). His research is instrumental in enabling secure, efficient, and scalable AI-powered robotic systems for smart cities, factories, and transportation. Xu’s recent achievements highlight his pivotal role in advancing both the theoretical foundations and practical security of next-generation embodied intelligence.
