About

Caroline C. Jeffery is a leading head and neck surgeon whose work has redefined the boundaries of minimally invasive oncologic surgery. Her primary research focuses on the integration of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) with complex microvascular reconstruction, a field in which she has made landmark contributions. In her seminal 2017 case-control analysis—cited 56 times—Jeffery demonstrated that TORS combined with radial forearm free flap reconstruction can achieve oncologic outcomes comparable to traditional open approaches, while sparing patients the morbidity of a lip-splitting mandibulotomy.
