Ben Horan is a robotics and human-machine interaction researcher whose work spans autonomous mobile robotics, haptic teleoperation, and system-of-systems engineering. He is perhaps best recognized for his early contributions to threat detection frameworks, where he pioneered the integration of heterogeneous robotic and sensor networks into cohesive systems-of-systems architectures — work that attracted nearly 50 citations and laid conceptual groundwork for collaborative autonomous surveillance.
