About
Andrew Foreman is a pioneering head and neck surgeon whose research has fundamentally shaped the adoption and refinement of transoral robotic surgery (TORS). His work focuses on advancing minimally invasive techniques for head and neck cancers, with landmark contributions in the management of unknown primary tumors and the development of novel robotic approaches. Foreman’s 2016 systematic review on TORS, transoral laser microsurgery, and lingual tonsillectomy for identifying unknown primary head and neck squamous cell carcinomas has garnered over 100 citations, establishing it as a foundational reference in the field. He has been instrumental in evaluating and championing new robotic platforms, including the Medrobotic Flex® system, with his Adelaide experience papers (2019, 2021) demonstrating clinical feasibility and outcomes.
