About

Yiwei Xu is a rising innovator in the field of analytical chemistry and biosensing, with a focused expertise in the design of advanced nanomaterials for food safety and toxin detection. Xu’s most-cited work introduces a groundbreaking Mn²⁺-triggered swing-arm robot strategy, employing novel anemone-like copper-based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) loaded with gold–palladium nanoparticles (AuPd@Cu-MOFs) as signaling probes. This work, published in 2023 and garnering 14 citations, represents a significant leap in the sensitive and specific detection of T-2 toxin, a hazardous mycotoxin. By ingeniously integrating polyethylenimine-reduced graphene oxide/gold–silver nanosheet composites (PEI-rGO/AuAg NSs), Xu’s research not only pushes the boundaries of MOF-based signal amplification but also offers a practical, high-performance platform for real-world food safety monitoring. This achievement underscores Xu’s ability to merge materials science with bioanalytical challenges, establishing a strong foundation for future contributions in nanomaterial-driven sensing technologies.
