Dr. Thomas Satyadas is a leading surgical researcher whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery, with a particular focus on robotic and laparoscopic techniques. His major contributions include providing high-level evidence through systematic reviews and meta-analyses that compare surgical approaches. Notably, his 2021 meta-analysis on robotic versus laparoscopic left lateral hepatic sectionectomy, cited 15 times, established Level 2a evidence for the robotic approach.
