Shahab Hajibandeh is a prolific surgical researcher whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive and robotic surgery, with a particular focus on colorectal, hepatobiliary, and pediatric urologic procedures. His most influential contribution is a landmark systematic review and meta-analysis demonstrating that C-reactive protein can predict anastomotic leak in colorectal surgery—a finding with 101 citations that has helped surgeons identify complications earlier.
