Shiling Chen is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of neurosurgery, robotics, and stroke care, whose work is reshaping the treatment landscape for intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH)—the deadliest form of stroke. Chen’s key research areas include surgical robotics, multi-sensor fusion, and intelligent control systems for minimally invasive neurosurgery. Their major contributions lie in advancing robot-assisted techniques to improve outcomes for ICH patients, where traditional medical treatments have proven limited. Notably, Chen’s 2023 paper on surgical robotics for ICH has garnered 29 citations, establishing a foundational review of the field, while their 2024 work on emerging cutting-edge advancements—spanning surgical robots, regenerative medicine, and neurorehabilitation—has already attracted 15 citations, reflecting its timely impact.
