About

Ming-Li Hsieh is a urologic surgeon and researcher whose work centers on robotic-assisted surgery for prostate and kidney cancers, with a particular focus on improving functional outcomes and predicting disease progression. In a landmark 2022 study (18 citations), Hsieh demonstrated the clinical benefits of indocyanine green fluorescence during robot-assisted partial nephrectomy, showing how this intraoperative imaging technique can enhance tumor localization and reduce complications—a contribution that has helped refine nephron-sparing surgery.
