About

Mengfei Yang is a leading aerospace engineer whose work bridges real-time computing systems and deep-space exploration. Her research focuses on two critical domains: optimizing multi-core processor task allocation for safety-critical systems, and pioneering robotic sample-return missions to the Moon. In her 2023 paper on heuristic mixed real-time task allocation, she addressed the challenge of dynamically adding diverse real-time tasks to multi-core processors—essential for spacecraft where system utilization and timing guarantees must be maintained under changing workloads.
