D. Porcheron is a pioneering neurosurgeon and radiosurgery specialist whose work has fundamentally shaped the clinical application of Gamma Knife technology. His primary research focuses on the technical evolution and clinical validation of stereotactic radiosurgery, particularly for intracranial pathologies like vestibular schwannomas. Porcheron’s most significant contribution is his leadership in the clinical deployment and evaluation of the world’s first fully robotized Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion at Timone University Hospital in Marseille in 2006.
