About
Motohiro Hayashi is a pioneering neurosurgeon whose work has fundamentally reshaped stereotactic radiosurgery for complex skull base and intracranial tumors. His primary research focus is the development and clinical application of "robotic microradiosurgery," a concept he pioneered using the Leksell Gamma Knife Model C with its Automatic Positioning System (APS). Hayashi’s major contribution lies in demonstrating that this robotized, high-precision delivery of radiation can achieve superior tumor control and functional preservation compared to conventional methods.
