About

Dr. Chayanee Sae-lim is a pioneering breast surgeon whose work is redefining the boundaries of minimal-access oncologic surgery. Her primary research focuses on advancing endoscopic and robotic-assisted techniques for breast cancer and gynecomastia, with a particular emphasis on achieving superior cosmetic outcomes without compromising oncological safety. Dr. Sae-lim’s major contributions include demonstrating the clinical feasibility and high patient satisfaction of single-port three-dimensional (3D) endoscopic-assisted breast surgery, as evidenced by her 2023 study on 145 cases (11 citations). She has also challenged conventional contraindications, notably investigating whether minimal-accessed nipple-sparing mastectomy is safe for patients with large breasts (2024, 8 citations). Furthermore, she introduced a scarless technique for totally implantable venous access port (TIVAP) implantation, preserving the aesthetic benefits of minimal-access surgery for breast cancer patients undergoing systemic therapy (2024, 4 citations). Her work, which consistently reports excellent patient-reported outcomes, is helping to establish a new standard of care that prioritizes both oncologic efficacy and quality of life.
