Arjan Lamaker is a pioneer in precision agricultural robotics, specializing in the development of autonomous systems for sustainable weed management. His research focuses on integrating computer vision and mobile robotics to address critical challenges in organic and conventional farming. Lamaker’s most influential work, "A robot to detect and control broad‐leaved dock in grassland" (2010, 73 citations), introduced a novel robotic platform capable of identifying and managing a pervasive grassland weed, reducing reliance on selective herbicides.
