Abstract

We report a multi-functional flexible intelligent glove that integrates artificial tactile and olfactory sensor array. It is able to assist wearers and humanoid robots in tasks such as gesture recognition and combustion odor detection. Our proposed convolutional neural network algorithm can fuse multidimensional sensing information, distinguish typical gestures, and achieve an accuracy of 97.2 % in recognizing four types of combustibles. It provides opportunities for rapid decisionmaking in the rescue fields of gas analysis and target recognition. Keywords: Multi-dimensional fusion, intelligent glove, sensor array
