Abstract

As society as a whole continues to age, the issue of companionship and care for the elderly is receiving increasing attention. In particular, under the model of ageing at home, a large number of elderly people living alone, empty nesters and left-behind elderly people lack companionship and spiritual care in their daily lives, which not only affects their quality of life, but also puts great pressure on the social service system for the elderly. In this regard, this paper will propose a set of design solutions for the elderly companion robot based on the perspective of smart wellness, aiming to alleviate the current problems of the elderly through scientific and technological innovation. It has been proved that the companion robot adopts the ROS system and combines the visualization platform and language interaction platform to realize the functions of following movement, intelligent reminder, voice interaction, etc., which can effectively alleviate the sense of loneliness of the elderly and at the same time improve the efficiency and quality of daily care, and substantially reduce the pressure on the family and the community. It has certain positive significance for promoting the development of smart wellness technology, meeting the needs of the elderly in old age, and constructing a more perfect and humanized old age service system.
