Abstract

With the growing need for medical professionals, there is now a requirement to provide tailored medical care for older individuals and those with long-term illnesses and respond appropriately in emergencies. Healthcare in the digital age is currently exploring the integration of robots to provide personalised healthcare services to those requiring assistance. Promptly disseminating crucial data from Internet of Things (IoT) devices enables expedited anticipation of emergencies, while artificial intelligence (AI) may propose appropriate courses of action. IoT-enabled wearable gadgets are used to acquire essential health data from patients. The AI processes the data and makes decisions while the created robot performs the necessary actions. Humanoid robots may be specifically engineered to provide healthcare and physical aid to elderly individuals and those with persistent ailments. Robotic creatures resembling animals may be created to serve as companions for those with psychological challenges. The primary objective of this chapter is to examine the practical uses of approaches that enhance the affordability of the healthcare system, improve patient outcomes, and facilitate access to patients’ information for more effective solutions. Consequently, the convergence of these technologies may result in improved operational efficiency for patient tracking and monitoring since automation enables the implementation more positive solutions.
