Abstract
Since Digital Twins (DTs) were introduced as an intelligent virtual replica that reflects physical entities' state and evolution, they emerged as a significant pillar for digital transformation in numerous applications domains. The role of DT applications in human-robot collaborative systems is still uncertain and under development. To this end, this review article provides a comprehensive perspective of DTs' critical design aspects in broad application areas of DT in Human-Robot systems.
