Design of a Deformable Lower Body Robot for Garment E-Commerce

Abstract
In this paper, we describe a deformable lower body robot which is used for remote fitting to eliminate the restriction of geographical location in the garment e-commerce. Since consumers have higher requirements for the comfort of the lower garments than the upper garments, we design a lower body humanoid robot. It can be driven by the body parameters to simulate the lower body shape of a consumer, and then replace the consumer to try on the lower garment. The fitting results will be fed back to the consumer to make a best choice of the size and the style. This lower body fitting robot can be used for online garment purchase and online garment customization, fashion design and teaching. It can also be combined with the virtual fitting service.
