Abstract

Human-robot interaction (HRI) is a highly researched topic in robotics, especially in assistive robotics systems. Disabled people represent a special category of persons that require special attention. Electrooculography (EOG) is a method for communication with these persons. In this paper is evaluated an interface for teleoperation of a mobile robot by means of EOG signals. Eye saccades are used for sending movement commands to the robot. The obtained results prove the effectiveness of the evaluated interaction method.
