Abstract
This chapter lucidly explains the reverse engineering of an industrial robotic arm with Six Degrees of Freedom (DOF). Design, analysis, and selection of structural links, gears, and motors enable the robotic arm to lift a 10 kg of payload for a distance of one meter. The robotic arm is prototyped and tested to evidence the successful implementation of the reverse-engineered model. Control elements enable the discrete and continuous movement of the robotic arm for advanced manufacturing processes.
