Development And Application of Robotics Technologies in Future Intelligent Soldier Squad

Abstract

Robotics technologies has been widely applied to the military field, and it is one of the key technologies that will overturn the traditional combat concept of soldier squad. Robots and Individual Combat Systems (ICS) are important components of future intelligent soldier squad. Integrating soldiers and robots into a human-unmanned joint combat force and introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technology will significantly improve the combat ability and effectiveness of the soldier squad. In this paper, ICS is regarded as a robot-like system. So, the future intelligent soldier squad is regarded as a multi-robot system which is composed of multiple robots and multiple robot-like systems. After that, this paper introduced the development status of robotics technologies on soldier squad, put forward the conception and preliminary ideas of future intelligent soldier squad, and analyzed the related key technologies.
