Abstract
Modern days, many people were trying to develop intelligence robotics to help human to solve some easy but very time-consuming tasks. For example, gathering balls for players in the stadium, some people forgot to return balls back when they finished playing, and many balls are left lying on the field. This study is mainly focused on designing and making a robot that can gather balls with automatic control and manual control. The ball collector is composed of three main parts, the gathering mechanism, the sorting/lifting mechanism, and the storage box. The designing, modeling software for example CATIA and AutoCAD is used to draw out a precise design paper, also used to draw out some of the parts that needs to be manufactured through laser cutter. The phototype of this project was made with the process of numerous modifications and optimization. And the conclusion is that a ball collector with this design could function as how the proposed idea was, some modification can be added to make it better.
