Abstract
The Hamburg Robotic Telescope HRT is a project for the observation and monitoring of activity phenomena on cool stars. HRT is an automatically operating telescope which will be equipped with the fibre-fed Echelle spectrograph HEROS of the Landesternwarte Heidelberg. The telescope was delivered to Hamburg in mid 2002 and tested there until May 2004. This report demonstrates the optical performance as well as pointing, tracking and guiding characteristics as finally observed during the test phase at Hamburg.
