Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics on Students' Career Choice

Abstract

The world is moving towards development and advancement with each passing day. Each day is a day of innovation; every single moment pushes forward with updated technology and innovative ideas. If we as individuals do not work on updating ourselves with the development, advancement, and innovation of technology, we will left behind with no future or with gloomy prospects. This chapter will discuss the importance of technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, smart machines; their impacts on lives and especially on career choice. The main focus of the study is to find the impact of recent technologies on undergrad students. This chapter also contributes as a reference study in the context of Pakistan to fill in the knowledge gaps between latest technologies and career selection. The objective of this chapter is to highlight the impact of Artificial intelligence (AI) and Robotics as a career choice among students whose technological gaps might hold them back from competing in a world of digitalization, constantly-updating technologies and smart innovations. This chapter is all about Artificial Intelligence, robotics and its impact on our youth when it comes to choosing a career. Without a strong grasp of technology, a person cannot survive in this digital world.
