Abstract
In recent years, fatigue in bridges resulting from increased traffic has become a considerable problem. In particular, large steel bridges having main towers of over 200 meters in height are inspected by telescope. Therefore, inspecting minor damage is not possible. Based on the above considerations, robots capable of working in difficult environments are desired. In the present study, a novel magnetic actuator capable of movement on a magnetic substance by means of an inertial force of a mass-spring model is proposed.
