Abstract

Patrol robots used in coal mines are more and more applied to replace the manual inspection to find out the problems in time by means of sensors, data collection and softwares, so as to provide reliable guarantee for the safety of the whole mine production. In these hidden dangers, fires are typical disasters and accidents in coal mines. When fire occurs, self-judgment of the danger is a technical problem. Through the image processing and simulation of the flame, the flame disaster can be effectively predicted and prevented. As the flame has no fixed geometric shape, the past modeling and simulation methods such as curves and surfaces can hardly be realized. In order to solve these problems, using the simulation algorithm based on particle system, the image processing and simulation of the underground flame are realized.
