Abstract
Analog processing electronics play a fundamental role in enhancing performance of advanced sensors and transducers. Complex sensing systems need more and more sophisticated circuitry to improve measurement accuracy and reliability and provide efficient data fusion processes. This research activity is developing significant criteria to define "silicon strategies" (i.e. a set of designing rules) to be adopted during advanced sensor development. A specific case related to piezoelectric sensors for robotics is examined to show how is possible to study these type of improvements during in-field research development.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
