Abstract

Inspired by the metamorphosis development of glowing octopus, Wei Lu, Wenqin Wang, Tao Chen et al. demonstrate in their Research Article (e202300417) a strategy to replicate the structure-editing capacity of natural organisms in soft artificial actuators/robots. The environment-interactive morphology/pattern information can be imitated to produce conceptually new environment-interactive information encryption systems.
