Discussion on a New Design of Overhead Transmission Line Inspection Robot

Abstract
In this paper, we present a design scheme of overhead transmission line inspection robot and tries to solve the problem of low obstacle crossing efficiency and prevention of falling from overhead line, including overall scheme design, structure design, control system design, etc. We design a three arm, palm-holding structure and a matching corner tower-crossing auxiliary facility (We call it “bridge”) which can help robot go through corner tower. Functional verification of robot prototype and influence analysis of “bridge” indicates the rationality of the design and the feasibility of the bridge. Finally, problems and suggestions of the scheme are also shared.
