Abstract

The purposes of this study is to build a livestock robot that can pick and also classify the eggs in the farms. The robot is equipped with an embedded controller, ultrasonic sensors, image sensors, motors, drivers, and virtual instrument devices that can perform obstacle detection and color recognition of eggs. Meanwhile, the speed difference control method is used to adjust the direction of the robot. The eggs on the ground will be picked, classified, and collected by the robot with a special turntable and sliding mechanism. The experiment results illustrate that the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed robot can assist farmers to reduce the labor load..
