Abstract
This study concerns with optimizing both time and cost in an automated manufacturing system. In the proposed system material handling is by automated guided vehicles and some robots do the manufacturing functions. In this way defect rates, break down times, waiting time, processing time, and other parameters are not deterministic. Therefore, we apply stochastic programming to optimize the production time and material handling cost.
